JIVO Energy successfully delivered a 20 MWac grid-connected solar photovoltaic power plant in Uganda under a turnkey Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract, achieving completion in December 2018.
The project includes a 20 MWac Solar PV installation, supported by a 15 km, 33 kV evacuation line for power transmission. A dedicated substation was constructed with voltage step-up from 33 kV to 132 kV, enabling seamless interconnection with the Uganda National Grid through an existing transmission line.
Designed, engineered, and executed to international standards, the project demonstrates JIVO Energy’s strong capability in delivering large-scale renewable energy infrastructure and contributing to reliable, clean power generation in the region.
