Project Overview

JIVO Energy is installing a Battery Energy Storage System with 20MW/40MWh (designed for 30MW usable after 10 years degradation). The project involves Design, Supply, Installation, Testing & Commissioning for the 20MW/30MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Project at Kanengo, Malawi.
Financed by the Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet (GEAPP) and implemented by the Electricity Supply Corporation of Malawi (ESCOM). The project was commissioned on 24 July 2026.
