2MWp + 8MWh 7 Mini Grids Project, Ethiopia

JIVO Energy is implementing the procurement, design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of solar mini-grid generation projects across seven rural villages in Ethiopia—Adura, Dakuba, Abbabesa, Karagulu, Shaqana, Masoya, and Kometa. The project comprises ground-mounted solar PV systems ranging from 78 kWp to 500 kWp per site, integrated with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) ranging from 280 kWh to 1.8 MWh, enabling fully off-grid operation. The scope also includes six months of operation and maintenance support. Currently ongoing, the project aims to provide reliable, sustainable, and clean electricity access to underserved rural communities, improving energy security, supporting socio-economic development, and reducing dependence on conventional fossil-fuel-based power sources.
